Four Fatalities in Five Days…

     On Tuesday August 25th a worker in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania plunged 13 floors from the roof of a condo-office complex to his death. This fatality was the fourth in five days in Western Pennsylvania and all were attributed to falls. In each accident no fall protection was in place. This tragic and grim reminder of the leading cause of construction fatalities in the United States demonstrates the need for PPE and training in its use by Contractors/Employers, and the participation by us workers in the program.
